We appreciate your interest in joining us! Here are a few things we require of all applicants:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have completed FEMA CERT Basic Training
  • Must have completed the free online FEMA courses IS-100 and IS-700
  • Must have completed the free online California SEMS course
    or
    Introduction to Incident Management course offered by San Bernardino County Fire, Office of Emergency Services
  • Must possess a valid California Class C Driver’s License
  • Complete a San Bernardino County OES Fire Corps Volunteer Application
  • Successful completion of a Department of Justice/Federal Bureau of Investigation (DOJ/FBI) Background Check
  • Be registered as a State of CA Volunteer Disaster Service Worker (DSW)
